She was married to Late Mr. Shah Abul Faiz and had an active participation in educational reforms, especially for the women in Ghazipur. ==Early life== Mrs. Saeeda Faiz was the eldest among her other 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Her father, Mohammad Sulaiman Adhami and her mother, Mariam Adhami were natives of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Her father was a freedom fighter and his patriotism brought him great popularity in pre-independent India. Mrs. Faiz grew up in an Indian society that still held on to discriminatory beliefs in matters of female education and freedom.
